It sure does make you think & also remember some of those dam awful trucks we had to drive, I was looking at an old truck the other day in a dealers yard the dealer had bought it to restore it, the truck was a 1966 Thames Trader (English truck I am sure you guys never got them) anyway I had one brand new back then & thought it was the greatest thing since sliced bread, now I look at it & think Oh my god how did I drive something like that peice of , my how times have changed.

Great post. Worked for Ryder PIE back in the 80's. Great company. Wish they were still around. I could actually be retired by now instead of dragging around the roads the rest of my life.

I like lots of young drivers used to just open the door & jump out, it took me years to realise they put steps to assist you to get in & out of cabs, I now know why my knees/back etc are now stuffed.
