I can't take this unemployment much longer it is 11 months tooo long
UPSF is union, Either way the freight starts to slow down this time of the year. You will be on the bottom of the list whether you work for UPSF or FedEx freight and it will be hard to hold steady work at the bottom of the list.

You'll probably get treated better delivering pizza. Less stress too. Good benefits delivering to the college dorms. No endorsements needed. Just proof of age and a valid drivers license.

I'd go for the FT FedEx. I work at FedEx, so I'm a little partial.

FedEx is hiring for many positions in NJ. Go to FedEx.com and look at the fine print at the bottom of the page for careers.

UPS Freight doesn't hire seasonal workers, especially this time of year, we slow down over winter. I think you are talking to UPS package. They have a rush of Christmas packages and it would be a good way to find out if that is what you want to do. Package is hard work and not for everyone.

I used to haul mail. Ton's of work this time of the year. They will work you around the clock. They pay good too. Be prepaired to work 7 days a week though. I never dreamed they worked so much. I used to get 2 paychecks a week because they didn't want to get in trouble with the dot for running me illeagle. Private carrier working through the post office. They pay hourly. And they have to pay union wage plus a few extra dollars for health care if the company dosesn't offer any. Again it's 24/7. .... Keep in mind Fed ex is giving new customers 90% discounts for 90 days right now. They are gaining new customers .....for now . They will probably lose them after Jan. Then you'll be looking for another job.

Go with UPS if you ever want to retire. UPS has a pension plan, scheduled raises and locked in health care costs. They are all rough to start so don't let this were hiring over here BS sway you one way or another. Lose one account and your right back were you started. And know I don't work for ups but I am union and have seen there contract and for a first deal is good.
