Snow removal law upsets truckers
The Evening Sun - Jan 5, 2007
"It's just totally irresponsible not to clean it off," Boscola said. "The goal is to prevent these kind of accidents." But trucking companies say that the new law is frustrating to deal with and was passed without offering an effective solution for ...

I do understand the problem here but they only enforce it when something happens.Like so many laws these days. Why doesn't anyone say anything about cars going down the road with a foot of snow on their roofs and back windows covered ? Perhaps all truck stops could have a snow roof blade in their lots and charge a small fee to go thru it.I am really suprised that some college kid hasn't come up with the idea of making all truck companys put them in everyone of their yards.

why is the law just snow and ice, look at all the crap laying along the highways that came out of some kind of vehicle, not always a truck. car bumpers, what if i hit that and blow a tire, shouldn't that 4-wheeler be charged for stuff comeing off his vehicle and causeing an accident?pa. is so far behind the times in highways and laws it's patheic. they have no truck in 3rd lane laws and they don't even have any true 3 lane highways in the state that run for any amount of miles. we had a driver who hit a car and he was in the 2 mile long 3 lane section of our mighty capital beltway!!!this car had a flat tire and in stead of useing his head and driveing to the berm and aleast being somewhat safe when changeing it, he was in half berm in or off of 3rd lane and half in the 3rd lane at 2-3-4 in the morning. truck came buy and had know where to go, who got charged do you think? ***hole who was changeing tire? no our driver for being in pa.'s big 2 mile long 3 lane section of road. someone gets killed and than its somebody's big cause, and guess what? new law against trucks. if i were in legislature, i would be embarressed to even say hbg, had this so called CAPITAL BELTWAY, that has seen more deaths than i'm sure any ice or snow from trucks has ever caused.

Obviously the Lady talking in the article has no knowledge of what kind of danger this can pose for the truck driver themselves. Why is it people always think they have to comment on any given situation when they know nothing about it themselves?
