Hey Benny just wondering why Reddaway's non union guys got a 30 cent raise this week!!

Hey Benny, I know everything is rumor now. But with the master freight contract vs UPSF contract how do you think Holland drivers would fell if they went to our contract. Let's say IF it could be done.
I'm sure you have looked at our contract. Our retirement is I think pretty secure with UPS. Do you think most drivers would welcome it or fight against it. YRC is pretty unpredictable and I would think USF drivers might welcome a deal with UPS. Am I on or way off base???

Please convince your management that they need to buy USF Holland. We would be happy to be their regional carrier. And we would be happy to be under your contract also. Please have them throw us a life-line....soon.

Skeeter that is a very good question and is also a subject of conversation in our barn. To me it would depend on the tenure you have in the union. Myself I'm at the 20 year mark and 51 years of age. Put it this way, I would give up a lot for job security. I feel as long as YRC has control of us we will only be used as a siphon. Its hard for me to comprehend why Holland, New Penn and Reddaways business model isn't being used. 5 or 6 years ago someone would have snatched these companies up in a NY minute. My vote would be Hell ya. GRIZZ

I can't tell you for sure? I know Reddaway's not in the NMFA and their raises are controlled differently than ours. Plus, the Union portion of Reddaway isn't meeting about their white paper contract again until sometime in February, so I suppose YRC can do what ever they want to with Reddaway and I can't figure out why they do the stupid things they do to all of us in the NMFA, so I know I can't tell you why they do the stupid things they do at Reddaway.
