You are correct in saying that they do not have any control over the concessions, from a Corporate level. But, where you are incorrect is when they run their operations like they don't have a dime invested. When we see constant inefficiencies every day, how can you not think that they are responsible for lost revenue every day? If the terminals were run efficiently, the company wouldn't be hurting for cash the way they are. Yes, Corporate has made huge financial mistakes, but our terminals running efficiently does directly impact the company's bottom line, which is the responsibility of the terminal managers. When the company's bottom line is bad, we all get punished with pay and benefit concessions.

From what i am hearing they management has to take this to get to the 15 percent cut like we did . The only problem is its a total of 40 hours, one day off a month for five months. Now how is this equal to are cut? i would like to think that the union is giong to check on this? they are saying after the five months no more 5 percent cut for management. This is bs .

Default Not worth the little money

In defense of the supervisors, it was my experience (after 13 years in buffalo)
That the supers were treated only slightly better than us, these people had management
Breathing down their backs everyday because they couldn’t reach imposable goals. YES Some of them were holes, but most of them were people just like us, stuck in this job that they hate with nowhere to go but down while trying to babysit a bunch of backstabbers. I wouldn’t touch that job with a ten foot pole. im not a kiss fact is i got to know some of these people as people, some of them confided how bad it is.

When I worked up there (Buffalo) as a Utility driver Lenny was my super. He was pretty cool very laid back. He would ask you to do something and leave you alone... he was one of the better dock supers I have had.

What vote "opportunity"? Oh, you must mean we got to vote and vote until the Company and our Teamster leaders (one and the same) got the result they wanted. We just happened to give them the vote they wanted the first time around.

Now im not saying i dont like all the supers. We have a couple of good guys and a couple of ones most of us cant stand. The point im trying to make is hoffa came out and said with this next cut we are demanding equal cuts between management and us , now we find out that their 5 percent cut is going to be a total of 40 hours pay.We have to go what another 3 years , its just not right and the union should demand they take the cut for as long as we do .
