This is really disturbing!!!!!!!!! Holland Motor since its conception was built on "over-night" service. Holland was the central states leader in this area for many ....many years, and received numerous awards for this service.
Just recently YRC new letter just came out. One of the blogs by Mike Smid CEO made a statement that "over night service" was NOT a viable means of making money as the market changed!!!!! All these past years Holland was very successful in doing so via this means........now YRC thinks differently!!!!!!!!! This is another good example how YRC does NOT have a clue how to run a trucking company. I've been with Holland for 30 years...........over night service worked all these years and we were making money.....what a shame what is happening !

But I think he is wrong about that. If it has changed it is temporary. All the manufacturers who have built JIT systems are not going to now invest in wharehouse space.
