Talking im here to stay

it is what it is,if you cant make it here you cant make it anywhere...Here is an important thing you need to know if you need a dispatcher in order to function dont come you will fail!also if you have a problem talking on the phone, selling your service, being fiscally responsible,or if you like running cheap freight you will fail....it depends on what you need to suceed,ie...what is your operating expences

(child, husband, and dad) there were also periods of unemployment when my dad was really bad off and i guess that is why i was turned down. they wouldn't say why i was turned down but that i could re-apply next year.

i have a verry close friend who is leased on over there and she is doing very well. she paid her truck off last year and has been there 3 years now. she has friends there and they have been there many years. also, most of them had to apply more than once to get on with l/star. don't go and get a truck and assume they will bring you on just because you have a lot of experience. go thru their hiring process, then get the truck. good luck to you either way. happy trails!
Thanks for the advice. Took it to heart. I applied, went through the questioning phase, the DOT physical to update mine so it was not over one year old, and according to recruiting, they are waiting on my current company to confirm that I have never failed or refused drug and alcohol testing. I should hear from them by the end of the week. I am just now filling out credit apps. for trucks.

Thanks again for the advice.

I applied and went up to the part of recruiting saying I am not worthy........would not tell me why either. Heard rates are down, I have my truck pulling a tank at a bit better rate anyhow. I would have liked a bit more choices in my dispatches. Maybe in a year, but if it has something to do with me, I doubt I would change any. It would have helped if I had reasons of being turned away. Ticked me off to be honest.
