I talked to Joe a few times before he passed. He was fired before the drivers filed for the union. He told me that he was fired because the Hartman's were planning on raising the out of pocket costs for the employees insurance and everything that goes with that and he told them not to do it because that the drivers would bring the union in. After a few words that they had Terry fired him and all of his family. Granted, I had agreed and disagreed with his actions but for how many years I have been in the LTL business, He did have a lot of ideas that would make a difference but the Hartmans would not let him do the things that would make things right.

Yeah... I know I sound like a .... But I worked for him in that office for a while and I was also a driver. I heard more conversations between him and Terry that I would care for but it is Terry and Brad that brought the company to it's knees.

If you guys remember Steve S. that was in the linehaul office, He also passed away a few years back.

I saw a midstates truck and trailer driving down the road today. I'm sure it was some company buying it or something, but it sure brought back old memories.
