I worked for midstates express for 2 years.... that company was the joke of LTL. They didn't like to pay their bills until it was too late. One time I came to work and all the trucks were repossessed. Often times they'd 'forget' to pay their fuel bill and our fuel cards wouldn't work. Probably my biggest complaint is how poorly they took care of their equipment and terminal. My truck broke down quite a few times and it was like pulling teeth to get them to replace wiper blades. The dock at my terminal had like 50 doors, and the dock plates on about 15 of them were broke and they were too cheap to fix them. Worst of all their flaws is that they scammed their employees out of their health insurance premiums. Every week I paid $30 for health care (for just myself) just like everyone else their, but they did not deliver.... they NEVER paid ANY claim for ANY employee company wide the entire time I worked their. There is a class action lawsuit against them that I just got paper in the mail for over this. The reason for this post is to warn people looking to work their... so they have an idea of what they are getting themselves into. I got what I wanted out of them, work experience... I just thank god that I didn't have to go to the hospital for anything.
