hi new to these forums and just wondering what DO I PAY for fuel for company driver otr.
example if i worked for a big company like swift or schnieder

Welcome to Truckingboards. You shouldn't pay a penny for anything related to truck or operational expenses. You should be paid a certain mileage rate and maybe some delay, layover pay, etc. but you should not pay for fuel, oil, window washer fluid or anything else. That is up to the Company.

If you are paying to fuel a company truck then I suggest you quit them fast!

I am not aware of any of the major trucking companies out there having their company drivers pay for fuel out of pocket. Most companies give their drivers fuel cards and/or a list of disignated fuel stops.


Anything that goes in or on that company truck should be paid for by the company or at least reinburse the driver for their out of pocket expense(provide them with receipts!)

They will give what is called a comcheck card or a list of preferred fueling places where an account is set up for fuel oil window wash etc...
