Hi Everyone!

Newbie here! I'm new to the boards and new to the industry. Actually, I'm not part of the industry... yet.

I recently applied to large trucking firm. I'm worried, however, I might not be a qualified candidate for their training program because of my driving record:

-A speeding ticket in April, 05
-An accident in March, 04 - ticketed for careless driving
-An accident in July, 03 - ticketed for careless driving

(All incidences were in my personal car, not a commercial vehicle.)

The company I applied for says that qualified candidates should have:
# No convictions for Reckless Driving in the past 5 years (never in a Commercial Vehicle)
# No more than 2 Moving Violations in the past 12 months; no more than 4 in the past 36 months

The application asked for 5 years of driving history which I answered honestly figuring if they actually looked at my driving history, I wouldn't get the job for lying. Honesty is better right?

Any way, what do you think? I really want to enter the industry and would like to work for this company. Would you hire me?
