Default Why doesn't the Union stay the Hell out of it..

What does the union have against the 11 hour rule and 34 hr reset.....If this comes to pass it is going to hurt many of us with long runs...

I think their goal is to keep you as a second class citizen.
As long as you can stay poor you will need them for a
government handout like single payer health care.

IMO, unions don't like the status quo because it makes drivers more productive.

I'll stay with the 11/14, 34hr restart. I'd like to see a return to a split sleeper bearth for the teams, say 5+5, would'nt mind if my lunch/dinner break did'nt count against my 14, matter of fact taking a 2-3 hr nap so I would'nt have to deal with ATL,NAS,DAL,HOU,CHI,PHI,NYC rush hr traffic, that would have alot to do with safety, however what do I know,I'm just a NON-union, anti ATA, anti railroad, truck driver.....OOPS...steering wheel holder

Default End Game

The Union is being used as an appendage of the Lefties or Marxists which ever you prefer. The goal is drivers driving 10 hrs. a day with an electronic log system that will be monitored by your company and DOT live in real time. Already UPS and FEDEX will soon be on this system, All trucking companies will have to use this system. Large and small alike, If you can't afford the system or don't want to be watched by the Iron Fist of the govt. you will not be an interstate carrier. Does anyone remember the airline industry before de-regulation. Controlled routes and prices all set be the government. Sounds crazy now... but by 2015 you will see it. Thanks once again for electing a Marxist leader who is hell-bent on dismantling our Free Market System.
