Thsi again shows McCains poor decision record.

People have been speculating as to why McCain chose her as running mate. Some people think it's so he can look "minority-friendly". Others thought it was because she's good-looking and would make a good picture for the press, etc.

But if you look at it and apply common sense, the answer is obvious. She's from Alaska, and what does Alaska have that Republicans want? That's right--Oil. Bush has got control of the oil in Texas, Cheney has got control of oil in the Arab countries at least as much as possible (Halliburton announced last year that they were moving 70% of their operations to Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and the company's headquarters is already there), and now Palin will have the Alaskan oil locked up. It's the "Grand Oil Party" at work.

Thats an interesting thought, those Republicans have got a nose for money. You mentioned Halliburton moved over to Dubai and I was wondering if the US has an extradition treaty with the UAE. Why would Cheney's buddies move the headquarters over there? Maybe setting up a place for Dick and George to hide out.
