I'm finding it really funny that after 8 years of bush mangling the language, Obama is made fun of when his telepromter breaks. Have you watched McCain give a speech? He spends more time looking at his cards than he does looking out at the audience.

I'm not surprised that the folks here lean to the far right. I mean, we have the south and midwest, guns, religion and proud racism, women in the kitchen mentality and huntin'.

What I'm always surprised about is that the closer you are to a working stiff, the less you should be interested in the Republicans. They favor big business at the cost of jobs and YOU, yet you think they care about your problems. Only if you're a big employer do they care about your problems.

But if you want 4 more years of bush, by all means vote for McCain and his hotty vice president.

The furor over his choice for VP is kind of funny too. Like he will give her anything more important to do than attend state dinner/funerals and read to kids in kindergartens. If his gamble works and the rabid evangelical women who want to tell other women what to do with their bodies vote, there may be a chance. And the republican men speaking in reverant tones about what a fantastic choice she was and what a down to earth lady she is makes me laugh because most of them would rather women didn't vote or open their mouths or be in the work place.

I don't think he will win though. I think people are sick to death of the lies of this last administration and see only more of the same from the tired republican party who has to court elitist religious extremists to get into office. They pander to the "morals" of these people then go in an cut jobs and send them overseas and rape the Constitution all for a buck in the pocket of their big business donors.

They don't believe in small government, they belive in government to further their own worth at your detriment. They use fear to to contol their belivers. Fear of economic downturns, fear of terror attacks, fear of loss of freedoms. (Which, if you look back, they were right about. Except that they instituted those loss of freedoms.)

But hey, you want to elect a party that hates most of the populace of America, go right ahead. We can just point at you when it all goes further into the dumper.

Default Change, Change, Change

There has been a lot of talk lately about who is the best person to change things in this country. Obama promises to give everyone a $1000 tax rebate, and to negotiate with those wonderful people the terrorists.

John McCain has promised that he will stand tall against rogue states and fanatics, and in my book, 5 years in the "Hanoi Hilton" qualifies him to know what he is talking about. Also, he already has changed the status quo by picking the first woman to be a part of the national Republican ticket.

If you want to know the truth about Barak Hussein O'Bama, you need to read
"Obama-Nation" by Jerome Corsi. I'm afraid if Obama were to get elected all we'd have left in our pockets is CHANGE!

Check out the book on Amazon.com:

Amazon.com: The Obama Nation: Leftist Politics and the Cult of Personality: Jerome R. Corsi: Books

My vote is going to "John Wayne" McCain and Sarah "Barracuda" Palin!!!

Default Define change?

Franklin, I really tried to be open-minded to the change platform. I'm a life long republican born and raised in a working class blue collar family. The things I remember when a democrat was in office was that my father, a union electrician, was out of work more than he was working. When Carter was in office, he went almost a year without work and when Clinton was in office there was work, but the transition from job to job was slower, 2 or 3 week gaps.

Obama runs on this platform of change but I cannot recall any one thing that he's done or been a part of that has made our corrupt state and city government better while he's been in office - so getting me to believe that he's going to change this nation, well, I'd have an easier time giving a cat a pill than I would believing that.

If someone could post his list of his accomplishments, I'd be happy to reconsider.
