Default Hollow point vs FMJ

YouTube - Round point VS hollow point bullets

I keep HPs in my house guns mainly because I don't want to shoot at a home invader and end up killing my neighbor watching tv next door.A FMJ with enough heat can pass thru someone and leave the house completely.Plus if the HP doesn't kill him by time I charge my cell phone and call 911 he'll bleed out. What's in your gun ?

For an intruder(s), a 12 Ga 870 Rem pump shotgun with #6 birdshot backed up by buckshot loads, if I need to take the bad guys down for good.

In case I need it fast I got old besty, my HK USP .45 with 12 rounds of Ball ammo for reliability of feeding, though its never jammed once on any ammo I feed her. Putting a custom laser sight on it soon. That should be some fun shooting!

Centerfire rifles are not a good idea in close in neighborhoods, even with HP's, IMO. I save those goodies for hunting and in case I need to reach put and touch someone if the SHTF.

Those CORBON/Glaser rounds work fine with a revolver, but I wouldn't trust them with an automatic, myself.

If the jamoke is wearing a vest no way they will do much of anything. And they are expensive as hell.

I've got a double barrel 12ga near the bed loaded with 7 1/2 birdshot,I figure the first move you make will be the most important.A couple S&W 357 (686/627) in other rooms and a few other things scattered about.Usually when a break in/invasion happens they bust thru the door and beat the elderly person (me) all over the house before they take everything you own. It's a sign of the times, you are your own "to protect and serve".

Damn straight, Jim Bob. You have an inherent right to do what you have to do to protect yourself and your family, and to hell with these uncontitutional gun laws. We sleep in peace knowing that a handgun or shotgun will put these cretins where they belong: in the ER or the morgue.

Even in KaliHELLifornia we still have the right to send an intruder(s) to hell with a firearm.

All it takes is 12 jurors to tell the law to take a hike, but that's not what the judge informs the jury, most of whom have only a high school education and know nothing about our rights and obligations under the Constitution and the Bill of Rights, fought for in blood for over two centuries by every one of us who took the Oath.

Mention the F.I.J.A. in court, and the attorneys and the judge will let you out of jury duty in a heartbeat.

Those bastards know that WE THE PEOPLE can nullify their illegitimate laws at a whim and it scares them to hell.

Good!
