I have heard some real bad things about Swift, and some good things. I see them all the time in my area. I would have to say I have seen more bad things about them then good.
So I come here to see if any one else knows any thing about them and maybe can put some input into the whole starting a new career with a company like Swift.
I know that I am going to need to sign a contract with them to work with them for 14 months or 16.

They say once I graduate from them that they guarantee a hire on in my area.
True?

I am willing to quit my current job and go with this career path, I know it will be on the road, and away from my family for a while. However I was planning on going to Iraq so, the open road and away for a while will be a lot easier then going to Iraq.

I just dont want to quit and take their month long class, and pass, then not get a job. (i do have a backup plan if I can get hired)

I am driven box trucks but dont have a CDL.

I am just looking for some info into Swift before I so to speek, sign my life away.
