Edwards is a good man, i like him.I hope he wins.

Well for my 700th post here I hope I don't make a fool of myself as sometimes my mind says one thing and it comes out another.
Mr Edwards is saying some thing on a few issues that need changing but I'm not so sure he is presidentail. This country was once on a kick "bring it home USA" and that slogan was in every Wal-Mart across the country. Things were very bad if my memory serves me right just before that really started taking hold.I was 14 when R.Reagan was elected and we were just coming out the Iran hostage crisis,the economy was the pits interest rates were at all time highs.And people were looking for a hero to make them want to be an American..Then Wal-Mart really began to grow by leaps and bounds and I believe Sam Walton really wanted to give back to this country and he did by trying to have as much "made in the USA" stuff he could carry.. I know some of this to be true as my sister worked at Zenith here in Missouri they had a factory in Mexico and Mr. Walton would not carry thier products for that reason.They carried mostly Emerson at that time which some of that was made close to home also. I guess what I am saying is I hope someone comes out who can put a little pride in this country as our kids are not showing it and us adults are just weary from the fight of just trying to survive these last few years.. I'm not sure John Edwards is the right man but I think he is on the right track now if only Superman would run with his ideas and make us all proud to be Americans again not individualists.... Maybe just maybe we can save our country from ourselves and help each other out in the process..
I hope I did not lose anyone here as I said my mind and fingers and the overall thought process get lost a lot here at Tramp's place...

Yes Tramp I do remember the days when Wal-Marts big slogan was "bringing it home in the USA". But when he passed away so did the vision of his children who took it over. "Greed will be the downfall of us all", should be their new slogan.


Last week they had a list of the top 400 millionaires in this country, the Walton kids were listed, but their claim to the millionaire status was "inheritance". They did nothing to generate the money they just rode off the coat tails of their relatives. Do you think that they care about who the next president of the United States is? I bet they could care less as long as they have theirs what do they care.They will continue to fight and keep their wages low and add to the decline in American standards.

I don't think any of the candidates have shown to me that we need to take care of our own before we can fix the rest of the worlds problems. We need the philosophy of Sam Walton, take care of the American people first then they will be able to afford to shop at your stores.

I would have loved to talked to him to get a view on his take of America. I am starting to take notice of Mr Edwards, but you still can not trust any of these politicians because any time they are asked a direct question they dodge it and twist it to their own agenda.

Look at Hilary Clinton, here whole claim forever has been a National Health Care policy, I agree we need to fix the health care programs in this country but Hilary has not laid out how.

What about the billions of dollars we are spending in Iraq? That money could be used to help fix the roads and bridges in this country, but yet we cant agree on when we should pull out of there.

All of these questions have been asked of these candidates and yet none of them have an answer. I don't either but I know one things for sure we need to take care of our Country first before we can go out and help other Countries.
