Stan, you yourself, have the power to succeed. This Union, is the strongest Union in the world. If we all stand together, and I mean all of us, we can rebuild the Union movement, not only for the Teamsters, but working men and women in all facets of the working world. Idealistic you say? I say it's do-able. You guys need to quit questioning yourselves. I been around this Union for over 49 years, and I seen it both good times and bad, this aint bad. aint good either, but whe you got a government hell bent for screwing the unions, what do you expect. I dont give a good GD who you vote for Republican or Democrat, ya gotta know how they stand on labor union support. This labor secretary was given a misson from King George Bush to shut down the organized labor movement, and doing a fair job. That is until some of us old guys learn how to use this computer internet soapbox.
I am telling you guys, it dont matter who is general president, or general secretary of this great union, we all have to abide by the laws of the land, no matter how ludicrous.

When was the last time you went to a union meeting? If you want to know what your leadership is up to just don't sit there, get your ash to a GD union meeting and take part, at least take an interest into YOUR Union. This aint THE union this is YOUR union.

I would like to gat active in my union problem is being on the extra board we work every weekend and can't come to meetings.
I think it would be great plus ground breaking if EVERY UNION (plumers,freight,weilders ext...) went to DC (during the Presidental race) and just showed our power and asked for a BETTER USA with BETTER JOBS, and to show americans that the Unions are still around and if you can join on..

We have to stand together. Whether you agree with whats going on or not. There are forces outside the Labor Movement that would like nothing better than sink our ship.

Do your homework this election. Vote for the Union backed candidates. Its the only way we can show Washington that the UNION employee vote counts again.
