Oregon's labor commissioner is resigning to take a Washington, D.C., job with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.Democrat Dan Gardner, a former electrician, has been commissioner of the Bureau of Labor and Industries since 2002. He was re-elected in 2006. Before that, he was a state representative, rising to become House minority leader in 2000.
