Ok check it out. I lost my job at USF RED STAR due to the managements decision to close its doors in MAY 2004 after a one day strike. I want to get another trucking job, why? I dont know I must be crazy but I recently found out the reason I cant get a trucking job is there is no one at yellow to confirm that I drove a truck for them, well the company they purchased, for 15 years. They use some outside company to hold their records but that company has none of the RED STAR files. Yellow purchased all of USF after the closure. They purchased Roadway and New Penn as well-welcome to the new global order. Im sure they can verify management records long after they are gone why not mine? Oh I heard about the part timers in the contract. What the f@$#. I was on strike and walked the line for 28 days in 1994 to stop part timers from coming into this industry. I lost 4 weeks pay.
