School custodians have a new contract that gives them raises totaling more than 13 percent over three years.
The settlement provides a 3 percent raise retroactive from July through December 2007 and 2 percent raise for Jan. 1 to June 30, James Connors, president of Quincy Public School Custodians’ Local 1911, said Sunday.
Subsequent raises will follow at six-month intervals: 2 percent for July through December; 3 percent for January through June 2009; 2 percent for July through December 2009; and 1 percent for January through June 2010, he said.
