School Bus Workers Join More than 9,300 Organized in National Campaign June 2, 2008
(Washington, D.C.) – First Student school bus workers in three states—Illinois, New Jersey and Pennsylvania—voted to join the Teamsters Union, adding 729 workers to a growing list of private school bus and transit employees who are becoming Teamster members. Like many of their First Student coworkers nationwide, the newest Teamster members joined together in order to make positive changes in the form of fair wages, benefits and respect in their workplace.
