Many should take notice this went on in the background to get the NMFA through don't be fooled one bit that JR and the company had backroom dealings going on this time around. How many of you guys really wanted this UE language that to this date is still not defined and still in the gray? how many wanted the 14$ part timers coming in to replace the full timers?

No JR got egg on his face and now he exposed himself and the tactics of the international with the take over of negotiations in L705 , in the letter it states that it is not a trusteeship so that is a bright spot and the Rank and File I have talked to are considering a no vote to whatever they get handed to them.

I have withdrawn my DRIVE contributions because I do not belive this administration is working in the best intrest of the members any longer but in the best intrest of the employer and I encorage others to do the same , I belive it is time to send a message in the pocket book that we don't aprove of the JR addmin.

Do the math say $1.00 from 20,000 members each week eyes would open up for sure.
Sorry about not responding timely, Toby. I am a spectator since I am not there and you are a player since you ARE there. Thanks for the info...I will try and follow what is going on with you guys...I do agree, (how the heck did the contract pass?)...something wrong here.
In Solidarity..Deuce

To answer your question:
70%, and using Union lingo, that's an overwhelming majority of the membership, but if you ask anyone, 0% voted for the "best contract ever" so we must be in the Twilight Zone complaining about a phantom contractlol

I think the question should be how many guys bothered to read and examine the proposals before it was voted on? does anyone know that? I'm sure everybody did, just like everybody voted against it, right?

I still say the numbers were cooked , without proper over site of the counting process we the members are at a disadvantage to the true outcome of any vote. I still say all votes should be conducted at your Local Hall in a mandatory meeting , if the meeting has to extend over a period of time to have members present than so be it.

This is one of the guiding problems we face not only in this Union but also in this nation , no one actually wants to do the background work and investigate all the intangibles that make up the bigger picture, they would much rather vote off of what they might or might not of heard instead of investigating for themselves. Also many will go along with the herd mentality and vote a certain way just because it seems that a issue is better represented in a certain way but forgetting the bigger picture, you also have to add in the fact that pressure by those from above forced a certain amount of the vote to go the way it did.
