I couldn't vote for hoffa if he was the only one running:wounded1: What he did for me with the Redstar fiasco sums it up ..He hurt my family and that is something I will not let go...:wounded1: And still no replys to what he did that was good for us...CRAZY

It's a shame that you'll never let it go Crazy....it's actually bad for your health to hold onto it. If you feel that it was all Hoffa's fault I guess you have your reasons, but it's still bad for you and therefore bad for your family.

Crazy is correct about Hoffa & USF. what happened there just shows you that it can happen at your co. as well. as i said before, a true ing disgrace. im not too sure people understand the full magnitude of that situation.

I feel the same way Crazy does & there are many more Red Star people that feel the same way.

I don't hate Hoffa & I don't think that it was all Hoffa's fault. But he was the president of the IBT & the organizing strike was called on his watch. This strike was supposed to put pressure on USF to help the IBT organize USF Dugan. They chose USF Red Star which was the weakest of the USF companys. They could have chosen the highly profitable USF Holland to apply organizing pressure.

He should have been a man & stepped up & taken responsibility for what happened . But he didn't. Instead we got some lame excuse that he was out of town on other business & that he didn't have any knowledge of the strike. Well if that is true, which I don't believe, then he damn sure should have known.

For 3 days we waited for a response from the IBT & the best his spin doctors could come up with was a hollow promise that "Hoffa would not rest until the Red Star Teamsters got justice"

Well its been 28 months & we are still waiting for brother Hoffa's justice.

You are right its not a vote for Leedham, its a vote against Hoffa. But unfortunately he doesn't need our votes & he doesn't care about NMFA members anymore.

He has insulated himself from the members. All we see of him are press releases & photo ops.

He will probably win big, but hopefully some of the independent vp's will win & he may have to account to them for future actions.

I was at a daily pickup last night & there were 5 (five) UPS sales people on the shipping dock checking out all the LTL freight staged for shipping. This is a very large shipping company that uses UPS for most of its small package freight (at least 3 trailer loads a night)

In the past Overnite rarely got any LTL other than customer routings. Last night UPSF/Overnite picked up over 14,000lbs of LTL freight.

What has this got to do with Hoffa or Leedham ?

Hoffa has the IBT negotiating a model contract for UPSF.

Leedham wants them under the NMFA

If you think that things are slow now in union trucking just wait until UPS gets their freight division fine tuned. With their money & history of effeciency they will control the LTL.

I wonder where that will put the rest of us.
