stldude44... I enjoy your posts & usually agree with them but I have to disagree with you on an in-house type debate. I don't think that any harm is done by airing our dirty laundry. As far as I know there hasn't been any secrets disclosed during this debate. Everything posted on this & the other union threads have been only our opinions on the candidates running for union office.
Any facts are a matter of public record & I don't see any harm in us rehashing them.
Its better for people to see that we don't have anything to hide & that we are free to speak our minds without fear of reprisal.
It good to show all the former Teamsters that the old days when we were told to "sit down & shut up you are out of order" are long since over.
Too many former Teamsters only remember the old days & they don't realize that things have changed for the better & that we now have an open & democratic union.
Local unions that works for us with business agents that know that they are there to protect the members not just to line their pockets.
