Local workers face pay cut, union says
The Kroger Co. announced yesterday that it will sell its 850-employee distribution business in eastern Jefferson County to two privately held companies as part of a move to boost efficiency.
The grocery chain has made similar warehouse changes in Cincinnati and Indianapolis year, and company spokesman Tim McGurk said customers of the 140 stores served by the Louisville center won't notice a difference. ..................
