My First Union Card

I just wanted to say how proud I am of myself, I just got my first Union card yesterday.

I am so lucky to be part of the INTERNATIONAL BROTHERHOOD OF TEAMSTERS.

I will do my best to make all of my brothers out there proud.

Good for you Rob. It's been 10 years for me and it seems like yesterday. It's been 2 companies, about 5 years on call, and several layoffs, but all worth it. One piece of advice: no matter who the union member is, whether you love him or hate him- he's still your brother. Always do right by him and you'll be a well respected member of the union. I like to use the analogy of a defense lawyer and his client- whether you like him or not you always need to defend him from his accusors, in this case management. Maybe we'll see you in Buffalo someday brother.

I've had mine 1 1/2 years but I'm just as proud as the day I first received it

Out of curiosity, were you required to recite the Teamsters Oath?
