Teamsters back proposed rules on EOBRs Quote:
WASHINGTON (Jan.12, 2007) – Weighing in on the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration’s proposed rules for the use of EOBRs in commercial vehicles to track and regulate Hours of Service the Teamsters Union said, “When used for its designed purpose, on-board recorders can be a valuable tool to prevent companies from pushing their drivers past advisable hours of service."
Tyson Johnson, director of the Teamsters National Freight Division, added: “However, our union will continue to negotiate language in future contracts that prevents the abuse of the data collected by EOBRs." | Teamsters back proposed rules on EOBRs |
