I know that happens everywhere you go but i noticed with FedEx its especially acute.
Are you referring to FedEx National? Or Freight.. If it's National, your policies and procedures are still being written.. FXNL is still in the beginning stage and for whatever reasons have you so dis-gruntled, I challenge you to be patient and then make your mind up on what is so wrong.. As far as freight, our payscale is for the most part competitive with our competition. We are a Non-Union carrier and have different competitors in different regions..

Here in the South, those non-union competitors would be Con-Way, Southeastern, Averitt, R&L, OD and AAA.. I have worked for two of these, and can tell you that the benefits and job security here are better, as for the pay.. maybe a hair less.. but worth not having the headaches I had at the others.

As far as your bid being favoritism.. There are policies with Freight that the bid follows.. once you bid, if those policies are not met, you can file, If that policy was in fact not met.. you are rewarded.

From reading your post, I am still confused whether you worked for FXFE or WML..

I am not trying to bust your chops.. but I enjoy a good debate.. But the subjects of this debate are not clear to me, other than the fact that you feel underpaid!

Thanks for calling me out 14w.. I don't feel I am mis-representing myself at all.. I'm expressing my opinion and that is the beauty of a forum.

My views on the Union have been the same way since I was driving. They have nothing to do with how hard my job will be.. I give %110 everyday, I work to satisfy myself, not others. Like I said before, If it comes, I will go elsewhere. I keep my CDL for reasons other than having a cool liscense.

As far as the Health Insurance.. If you are not satisfied, I understand that.. I was not satisfied before, I am content right now because for the first time in 8 years the premiums did not rise, and I am able to save myself money by customizing my plan.

I left the company not too long ago and went elsewhere for more money.. paid what i gained back in insurance cost, and the company sucked when it came to anything other than promises.

Two years ago, I helped bring a beautiful little girl into the world.. cost me $150.00.. Unfortunately she has a condition that has required multiple test and alot of medication. I pay more in gas a month than I do to keep my child healthy and go to the doctor twice a month. I would think the views on Health Care would be mixed.. and I understand your view completely. Never have I forced my opinion on anyone, but will not hold back when it comes to expressing it.

If you know me, you know that I was almost killed in a motorcycle wreck two years ago.. If I had the insurance that my wife had at the time.. I would still be paying.

My views on this website are not from my status of employment.. I am not from a foreign planet and bleed green blood. I put my pants on just like everyone else. I am not married to my job nor those I work for. My views are just that.. Mine..

Thats why I love this sight.. I am not silenced by anyone (except the mods).

In my opinion of Healthcare, It's not going to get any better until the goverment steps in. As Americans we should all be researching the political side of the Healthcare issue and controlling it that way.. It's not the Trucking Companies that are getting rich off it..

gtr sure our health care is great in an extreme situation but my main problem is we are self insured and the charge is this high.It seem every time i put in a claim fx tries to get out of paying for it.last month we had to take my son to the er and we got a letter from fx insurance stating they need to know what happened and how and where or they weren't paying(what happened to privacy).our great insurance won't cover most of my wifes and my daughters alergie medical expenses or the medicine my wife is on for them.our great insurance is giving me a hard time on a procedure my daughter had so she can hear she was 90 percent deaf in on ear and 20 in the other.I am an employee of fedex one of the greatest companies in the world.shouldn't the company take better care of its employees since we are self insured we shouldn't have all the problems with fedex insurance. for a fedex policy ran by fedex for fedex employees they shouldn't make it so hard on us.our high copays suck to last month i spent about 300 bucks in copays.the sad part of this is i bet fedex is making money off of us on this insurance program.it seems they have you fooled thinking because it didn't go up this year thats good.i can't stress enough fedex run should be fedex cheap the price should fall.

I don't dispute that we have many loopholes in our program. I am disgruntled when it comes to FedEx paying claims to the DR's office because it takes way to long. We can thank the Hypochondriacts of America for half of the problems that we have.

I will ask this though.. Before we go debating the Issue of "Will a Union help us with This".. have we spoke our peace?

I have seen threads on forums here that would spark the best conversations in HRO.. Many intelligent people with great beefs and ideas.. But, I have one question.. Are we bringing it to the attention to those that matter.. The head of Health Benefits at HRO might have perfect health and never go to the doctor. Sometimes our employees obtain a self emposed gag-order on themselves when it comes to speaking up. - If the throttle cable on a towmotor was hanging up day after day, would we speak up? I your slip seat driver repeatedly leaves your tractor a mess, would you speak up..

We find out who we need to talk to when it comes to these issues.. But, when it comes to the important issue like healthcare, pension, 401-k.. We will stand back put tape over our mouths.

Let it be known!

Thats the beauty of being Non-Union.. You can speak up for yourself, Stand up for yourself and not have to hide behind someone, and be silenced.

I have done it, called and bugged them many times over issues... You would be suprised how they really do not know how we feel.. because nobody in the field ever talks to them..
