FedEx Freight needs Union

There are those that are afraid that if they speak up they will be put on a hit list of trouble makers.

I have worked jobs, yes even unionized ones, that guys would complain about stuff all day long but when in a meeting with any type of management they would say all is rosey and they had no complaints at all.

Me, I don't get it, it's like you said, if you don't tell em it hurts how are they going to find out?

trust me i always speak my mind.my father alway tought me if you have something to say be a man and say it.so i do.i have spoken to the scm and even guys above him i love when the big wigs come to town so i can tell them my veiws.i even had several conversations with hr and the big cheif in hr.Do we need a union?like i said before day to day ops no.but if we want to be better paid with better bens. than yes.Even though this seems like a black and white question there is way more grey.fedex often times walks a fine line of pissing there drivers off i think if a bad management team was put into place a union would not be far behind.respect is a major factor.

I read all this and wonder where the end. Every job has a limit on salary and beanies. I am a truck driver I understand I am a truck driver and the payscale has its limits no matter how good you are. If your a millionaire and take a job driving a truck you will be paid as a truck driver not a millionaire.I understand wanting more but there is a limit to everything. When you walked in the door you knew what the pay was and you knew about what the company rep was. If you want teamster beanies then go teamster and work like they do in the beginning. If you don't want to to it that way then take a job with a non-union carrier and do it there way.Both ways are usually told to you if they offer a job to you, and if you don't question them about it thats your fault. I am not trying to piss anyone off but as a truck driver you know what is in front of you and if you decide take that job you except what that company offers. Yeah it changes from time to time but so does everything else. The options are to find other job or stick it out.
I know I just pissed you'll off but hey we are truck drivers we chose driving and not brain surgery, boy i wished I would have stayed in school.

All I Have ever asked is for this company is to keep its word to its employees. The big wigs come in to my center promise big pay raises and better bennies, and when it comes time to deliver they dont. When you ask when are they going to deliver all of a sudden I'm a trouble maker, a union man,and a threat to the company.ALL the problems this company has with its workforce comes from the top down. If they would keep just half their word we could grow faster than any truck line ever could with an unstoppable workforce, we could be the best carrier ever, but you reap what you sow.

Both Frt and Ntl need to stand up for themselves and sign cards. Then where would the freight be directed through?
If we all got together it WOULD happen. This generation just doesnt care i guess.

how would signing cards have anything to do with where the freight went?

13 post and I am still confused to your justification.. Heck, I am still confused to who you work for..

If you are with FXNL, then you obviously have had a past beef with WML, because you have not been FXNL long enough to form an opinion.. Sales material dont even go out until next week. If you are with Freight, you could'nt convince me to buy a stick of gum from you because you have not provided me with anything that makes any sense...

The others that have posted, make sense. They have legitimate reasons, concerns, and justify why they feel that way...

What generation are you in exactly.. I've only seen a couple out of the many ppl on here with ages in their profiles..
