April 11 (Bloomberg) -- Kirk Kerkorian, the 89-year-old Beverly Hills billionaire, already is celebrated as an entrepreneur, dealmaker and gambler. Now he wants to be a champion of organized labor.
Last Thursday's $4.5 billion bid by Kerkorian's Tracinda Corp. to buy Chrysler contained the stipulation that his proposal would be subject to a new labor contract with the United Auto Workers union.
