I Am Not An Animal!!!

You hear things that happen all around the company, but one of my co-workers told me something Saturday morning that I just didn't want to believe, but also didn't surprise me. He was @ NWN where they were having BBQ for a driver who is retiring. The "FOM", Cedric, came in the break room and ordered all the food to be thrown away. Saying that "I'm not going to have men on MY dock time sitting in here eating BBQ". The food was thrown away and wasted, and even worse yet, the hard working drivers were again treated worse than animals. THATS the company we work for drivers. Like I have stated before, you can get a hell of a lot more out of a man you treat fairly than you can out of people that you treat like this. I'm not real big on unions, but I do think that there is a time and place for everything. Con-Way has the potential to be the best company to work for ever. But its no wonder why the general attitude of the drivers is the way it is. When I first started, I would've bled blue if you cut me. But over time, even I have been beaten down to the point that even the thought of the way CON-way treats hard working drivers sickens me. You get more out of a pat on the back than you do a kick in the butt!
