I'm certain you've got one there, otherwise you would not have made such an interesting statement.
mikey; You will probably be waiting a long time for his answer. As to it being fact filled or intelligent, thats highly unlikely.

Those red dots in his reputation tell it all. Puff Driver does not back up his claims with facts

Default Why Wait ?

Action talks and B.S. walks . From all the
talk on the LTL boards it certainly is
easy to see that Conway board is full of
the most unhappy employees of all the LTL
companies . If you look at the amount of
threads and views there would appear to be a great enough number to support a chance
for a change. If so many are unhappy now
and you wait , there is chance that they
will leave and NOT be there to support this effort in the future . From all that
has been lost in the last few years it
should not be a big surprise to expect
more of the same. Thank Tou

I havent talked with anyone else because this happened around 6 PM but I think we might have the votes. He's planning a little get together with 15-20 of us all with many years. He was saying that he wont talk with the rookies and thats probably a safe thing too do. The plan is right after the new year he's hosting a planning party at his place. I have chills still going through my body when I realized he was serious about this and many of my buddies who I never would have thought would ever say the ugly "UNION" word are actually the main supporters. The way I see it the younger guys respect us a little bit and might vote our way once we explain everything too them. Actually I need some more explaining.

Gentlemen this is the real thing and I can tell you one thing it feels GREAT already.
It feels great to stand up to injustice, doesn't it? It is the same kind of feeling you get when you help someone who is being victimized or you pull over and save someone trapped in a car. Bad analogies but I think you see my point. Great things happen to those who dare. Those who stand by and watch while the strong devour the weak are disgraceful. You and all your co-workers (except the ones that have a special relationship with their TM) know that things are not right. It will take leadership of the highest degree, from several of you, to gain representation. You must be pissed off to the point, and motivated to the point, that failure is not an option. You must be prepared to set aside your personal lives for the greater good of you and your co-workers. They will lean on you for support. Just remember that how ever it turns out. In the end, you know in your heart, that you did not sit back and watch while working conditions spiraled downward into the toilet. You will be proud that you made a stand. No one knows what it is like to organize a union drive unless they have been there. I'm talking a movement without a card check agreement! When the company hires the union buster firms to break down everything you have accomplished. And the threats start flowing. And your picture is taken leaving the bbqs and union halls. And you are forced to sit through anti union meetings. And the supervisors (who have a closer relationship with employees) try and put the fear of god in your heads. So many doomsday scenarios, I can't even list them here. It's all BS. It is all illegal. And with all of this said. I would do it all over again. I worked for G.I. trucking for twenty years. Estes bought us and ruined the company. I helped with an organizing drive that ultimately failed. So many drivers now regret voting no on election day. Should have voted with their heart instead of fear. I could go on and on. You just follow your heart and hold on tight. If you think you feel good now, just wait till it's all over. I will help you if you need it. Good luck. Elvis out....
