I noticed something here, the 2 that seem to bash the union boys, like buying from the foreign car makers. Just goes to show you where their heads are, the very thing they claim on post they do on another. I know that there are some vehicles made by the Asian, German, and English companies that are good cars, but I would rather have my money go to the American companies, rather than overseas. I buy Ford, and I make sure that they were built and assembled in the U.S., by UAW workers. I guess I can sleep at night knowing that I'm supporting a family here in the United States. Something else, I rarely shop Wal-Mart, why, because I don't want to buy crap made in China, or some country that I have to go home and lookup on the map. It takes longer to shop, and sometimes it might be a farther drive and alittle more money, but I try to always buy made in the USA. But I guess some people don't give a rip, they'll buy anything from anywhere, at the cheapest price. I would rather invest my money back into my country.

Hey, Puffboy and Braceface be careful what you wish for............you might get it. You new boss might like eating sushi instead of hamburgers. I work for a non union company, but I don't get up on a soap box and bash other people or who represents them, if it wasn't for the unions in the past we or maybe I would not be able to enjoy my current lifestyle. You asked in another post about layoffs, keep buying foreign products, you are just undermining the American worker, the American Dream, and our children the right to enjoy the freedom that we have now. Just think if things get bad, you don't think that Toyota or whoever, will pull up roots and move back to their own country. Look, do some research, investigate a little.

Oh, I forgot, I do own a foreign car, made in England, but the company is owned by Ford, it is my 3rd car, you know the Sunday drive in the country car.
On the last post, I forgot to explain the reason behind the title, it seems like Puff and Brace are joined at the hip. Both put out the same rhetoric, both are negative reputation, both respond without thinking or researching a logical answer. You need to think, it is awesome that we can post our opinions here, but work that thing between your ears.

The UAW is running the American car industry overseas and across the border. If you buy an "American" car,you must definitely better check the assembly plant.Hell, the only American made car in Nascar is Toyota...Go figure??

To expensive and cheaply made... Compared to Honda,Toyota, Nissan, etc, Fords, Chevys, and Dodge make junk... You may want to be stranded whatever UAW junk you buy, I'll stick with who makes the best vehicles. And use the brain between your ears, most of the foreign made cars and trucks are made in Amercia, with American labor... Not UAW labor..

Not UAW labor.. | Just like Puff, I have to refute your statements with facts.
For the record, I have always bought American made vehicles. My last 2 were Ford conversion vans. My 1989 lasted until 2002 when it was totalled in a read end collision, with 202,000 miles on it. My present van is a 96 that I bought used in 2002, it is mint, it is perfect, it has never given me a major problem and it presently has 189,643 miles on the clock. A little common sense and TLC will make any vehicle last a long time.
Below is a list of cars, trucks, vans, and suv's made by UAW & CAW labor.
Of the non UAW cars you mention "Honda, Toyota, Nissan, etc" only Honda and Nissan seem to be off the list. Look closely below, you will see that besides the American 3, Union made vehicles include Toyota, Mitsubishi, Isuzu, and Mazda.
This list comes from the UAW website Quote:
This guide is prepared by the UAW to provide information for consumers who want to purchase vehicles produced by workers who enjoy the benefits and protections of a union contract.
All these vehicles are made in the United States or Canada by members of the United Auto Workers (UAW), Canadian Auto Workers (CAW) or International Union of Electrical Workers-Communications Workers of America (IUE).
Because of the integration of U.S. and Canadian vehicle production, all these vehicles include significant UAW-made content and support the jobs of UAW members.
However, those marked with an asterisk (*) are sourced from the United States and another country.
When purchasing one of these models, check the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN).
A VIN beginning with "1", "4" or "5" identifies a U.S.-made vehicle; "'2:' identifies a Canadian-made vehicle.
Not all vehicles made in the United States or Canada are built by union-represented workers. The Toyota Corolla, for example, is made in the United States by UAW members, but the Canadian model is made in a nonunion plant and other models are imported from a third country.
*Vehicles marked with an asterisk are produced in more than one country, but all models made in the United States are assembled by UAW members.
