Boy oh boy.
If I had a nickel for everytime you and Puff posted this on the boards,
I could have retired years ago. I wish you had the real facts when posting something being done by the union. Since you (& Puff, although he was a union man at one time) are so anti union, it seems all you two can post is verbatum rhetoric. Post for post, word for word. The union closed CF, Red Star, Preston and every other Teamster trucking company. And if I had another nickel for every time I posted this, I could be retired in Tahiti. Poor management and corporate decisions by the parent company are what caused these companies to shut down. CF poorly managed and milked dry by CNF. Preston, losing money and then bought and raped by Yellow. Red Star losing money and looking for a reason to be shut down by USF. When will you realize that it is counter productive for the Teamsters to lose jobs and members?
How come you guys are so quiet when nonunion jobs shut down? How about when Roadway was spun off by Roadway Services/Caliper? Coles and Spartan gone, Viking gone East of the Mississippi, and the west swallowed up by Fedex. More recently, what did the union do to cause the closing of Jevic? You guys get all Hoighty Toighty when a union job goes under but go silent

when a non union job bites the dust.
I'm a proud union member, but I'll be the first to say that neither side of the fence is perfect. I just see being on an organized job with clearly defined wages, benefits, seniority, work rules, and rights, more advantagious than being
an
at will employee.

See, someone that thought the way you do. I'm sure there are many more like Busternite,
that have seen the light. There were many guys posting on the UPSF boards about not going union. I don't see many of those guys complaining today with their outcome. Busternite said it best by saying don't be anti anything and keep an open mind. You never know what is around the next corner. And for the record, I am not voting for Obama either, as you stereotype about Teamster voting policy. I am still my own man and no one makes up my mind for me.
