don't engage a while back one of our drivers had a customer call in on him saying that he had something that offended him. the driver was a union organizing supporter and that was well known. he had run ins with our manager several times, and everyone who cared knew that the manager did not like this driver.
he was fired after many, many years of service, and no customer complaints. only stuff the manager decided to write him up on. long story.
another driver had a call in on him. customer said that the driver said some ting that offended her. she said the driver said that "**** verizon". driver has 17 years with the company and has no customer complaints. only things the manager felt he needed to write him up on. long story. (wrote him up on something that most drivers did on a daily basis but were never written up on because the manager's boss told him to do it because the driver didn't kiss his ***)
manager told the driver two weeks ago that he was in the clear over the incident. told driver that it was always up to him how it was going to go.
last thursday, driver was suspended for 3 days by a piece of crap hr agent in portland over this incident.
this only proves that fedex will do whatever they want to the people they don't like. it's a strange coincidence that two long time drivers had customers call in on them for saying the same word. looks like our manager and hr has found a way to get rid of employees they consider a problem.
the old fat piece of crap hr guy in portland just made a lot of enemies. no one i've talked to will have a thing to do with him.
take care drivers. times are lean and they are looking to dump the older, more expensive drivers. don't talk to your customers. it only takes someone having a bad day to get you fired.
with a union, this never would have come to this.
we're hoping the driver sues the witch from verizon for defamation of character so maybe she will lose her job and we lose that crap account. |
