I believe the gun control issue has been settled hasn't it? I believe the Supreme Court just ruled last week against Washington DC's ban on hand guns for citizens within the district. They affirmed that based on the second amendment Americans do indeed have the right to possess and use a firearm for their protection.

Abortion is established law as well for several decades.

Lets look at the facts; George W. Bush has invaded a sovereign country based on faulty and misleading intelligence. Some 4000 american soldiers have given their lives for a "lie." No weapons of mass destruction. No connection what so ever to 911. No connection to Alqueda. Were instrumental in Saddam's Hanging, thus overthrowing what HAD been an ally at one time and throwing into chaos what had been a stable country.

Now lets bring in McCain. A staunch advocate of the war. Advised sendiong MORE troops to the region despite the fiscal irresponsibilty of such an endeavor. He is too old in my opinion to be put in such a position. He seems to have difficulty remembering his "positions" on topics and routinely has to go to his campaign advisors to determine "what" his position was.

I applaud John McCain for his service to this country but it is time for him to go home and retire. This country has had enough of war. Do not believe me? Just ask anyone who lost a relative in this fiasco.

Now for Obama. He is young, intelligent, charismatic, stays on topic and I believe him to be a breath of fresh air. He has not been corrupted like so many of his lifetime political counterparts. The "worm's" (White Old Republican Men) have been in control of this country too long.

Time for a sea change. Engage our enemies with meetings and find some common ground. Stop acting like a bully and invading countries, killing innocents as well as combatants. This country is NOT the world's policeman. I have read way too many examples of our governments meddling over the years and I must say I am ashamed of the atrocities committed by some of our soldiers AND our Government.

Wether you agree with my views or not exercise you RIGHT to vote this fall.

You sound like my girlfriend. Very educated, she has William & Mary, NYU, and yes, Harvard on her resume. Still, the girl is devoid of any real-world common sense. She, as do you, think all people have great intentions, and we can solve all with diplomacy.

Many of my close friends from a young age are either officers enlisted in the service. Ask them what the kids in Iraq are like.. Now tell me it is our fault for instilling fear in them.. No you fool, THEY started this.. The "religion" they follow says we are infidels and it is OK to kill us. They are doing it in the name of Allah. My buddies take pride in killing these people. Is that wrong? I don't think so.

I would love to see if you would have the BALLS to confront them face to face about this. My guess is no. You, as would most liberals, would not look them in the eye and say you were ashamed. You sir, as are most liberals, a p****..

Obama's record on gun control is as bad as it gets. He has proposed higher taxes, in many ways, for the "rich". He wants a 28% capital gains tax. That is great.. Those are your stocks.. Are you rich, I'm sure as hell not. He wants a part of your 401k. Great, at 8% I'll have almost two million in there at 59 1/2.. Am I rich?? Dude, I drive a friggin Conway truck. I have maxed out my Roth IRA since 2003, and will continue to due so. I'm sure Osama Obama will find a way to get his hands into that.

He, as do all liberals, will find any possible way to punish me for doing things the proper way. I.E. the way they are set up.

I am, and will be forced, to pay for those who have made poor decisions their entire lives. I already see it. I'm 27 and pay the insurance for those who got knocked up by the "baby daddy" when I was contributing to my Roth, and non-qualified money.
