Its not all about separtation between the younger and older workers its about earning your time as a Teamster and earning respect and trust from the older workers.
When you put in alot of time as i have of 25years its hard to know who to trust in the begining with a new guy.
Alot of us I guess you could call us (old school) have went through strikes, bad economys, deregulation of trucking, layoffs, some retire and some pass away.
What im trying to tell you is ask about there lives..... like how long they have been a Teamster?......and so on Get to know them first! For some it may be a short time others it may take longer.
Remember that we were all young once to and im more then sure some of them have went through the same thing in the past as you are now.
Above all read your Bible (contract Book) front to back knowledge of that will earn respect as well younger and older.
Also remember this....speaking for my self do not like little birds cherping off to management about any Teamster member for any reason small or big.(I didnt see or hear nothing)...... to management let them figure it out

thats why there management and we are Teamsters

Or these guys as well>>>>>>>
Any way hopefully this might help a little bit and welcome to the Teamster family and always remember why its called a Brotherhood
