Why Conway will never be Union.

sounds like FXF and CONWAY are run by the same CEO's
That's why FXF and CONWAY will become the two largest and perhaps the ONLY LTL carriers after all is said and done. Union LTL's will go the way of the dinosaurs in my opinion.

An ex Conway here. Tried it a few years ago. Not union now nor ever been. I would quit this industry in a heartbeat if the only choice I had was to work for a company that takes micromanaging to a whole new level. If you enjoy being belittled, working under supervisor's who hate driver's with a passion, having your pi$$ measured after using the bathroom, having a whip cracked at you constantly..then Conway is right up your alley. Nothing personal here at all.

I forgot to mention, your CONWAY reject managers get hired at FXF.
And the result? They bring with them all the things that CONWAY drivers hate about the way they are treated. I wish FXF would quit hiring them. WE CAN"T STAND THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And why am I a Jack***. It is just my take. If you have not worked here you would not get where I'm coming from. I'm not speaking for everyone, but this is a common sentiment among drivers here I know well.

I work for yellow and a few years back they hired a conway and a ups supervisor, not at the same time mind you.....they tried to act tough and slam clipboards and yell.....funny thing happened....they learned real quick that they were in a union barn ...meaning if they yell we can yell if they curse we can curse......actually the stewart did the yelling for us....the difference between union and non union shop is they can say what they have to say without getting in your face and threating your job, I am sure every man on this board will agree that there is a certain amount of room you give an man that is his personal space.......I worked for old dominion in the south a long time ago so I know exactly how they talk to people and how they treat them, just my 2 cents....thanks

jakebrake12 is entitled to his opinions. He stated that this was not meant to piss off any Teamsters.
Lets stop the personal attacks and debate this in a mature manner. Treat others the way you would like to be treated.
With the many hardcore Union and Non-Union members we have here, they will always agree to disagree.

I am former Con-way turned Teamster. My grass is very green because I am positive in how I deal with adversity and day to day changes in the LTL world.
I love my current job and do it within the scope of our contract.

I know exactly what jakebrake12 is talking about. Con-way has won numerous awards on how they efficiently manage their company.

There definitely is a huge difference in how each side is run.
