Read the Fine Print The Teamster Constitution restricts the freedom of its members and violations of these rules can and do result in disciplinary action, including fines, for its members. The fact remains that the only way to avoid having to work with these restrictions is to avoid membership in a union.
The next time that someone is at one of these anti-union meetings will you do me a favor & ask what kind of freedom is restricted by the Teamster's Constitution?
In the 40 years that I have been in the Teamsters Union I only know of 1 member that was disciplined & had to pay a $400 fine. And that was for his
repeatedly filing false charges against his co-workers. The guy was a real "nut case" & had been warned by the union to stop filing those false charges. IMO he should have been thrown out of the union. He still would have kept his job, but since he didn't want to abide by the oath he took, he would have been on his own without the union contract to protect him.
I honestly have never heard of anyone ever being unfairly disciplined under the Teamster's Union Constitution.
