He rarely took a stand on an issue and as a Senator, he voted "present" more often than "yea" or "nea" Please don't assume that I would fall victim to rhetoric and platitude from the people I listen to as you have done so for the people you listen to.
You're talking from left field..I agree with and support Obama wholeheartedly on this issue....Unions. I'm Catholic and it agrees with my faith....But I did not vote for him nor do I listen too him much...I voted for McCain because I could not vote for abortion/gay marriage issues......but I hoped he'd lose cause I don't like republican economic nor military ideals very much.....And I really liked buchanon best out of the last few races...so don't assume you know my politics....I support my unions support for Obama on union issues....they are important for the economics of my family. I don't like the Bush's,nor reagan...I support certain issues from each side of the aisle. I'd support this healthcare stuff only if it removed anything favoring the abortion crowd...otherwise I would probably support it... So I'm posting to prove you are wrong yet again,John C

Thank You NPT for your candor and for helping see a little bit inside you're heart. I also voted for McCain, but not because I liked his ideas, but because I did not and still do not trust Obama to do what he's Constitutionally charged to do as President of the United States.

Beck isn't crazy, A.D.D, absolutely, but not crazy. In his book, Arguing with Idiots, he has proof to back up every claim he makes about Obama and the progressive left and their agenda of change. In Obama's own words, he said to a group of supporters, we're five days away from "fundamentally changing" the country as it's constituted today. The only reason I'm glad Obama won the election is because his win has emboldened the Pelosi type liberals to bare their asses for all of us to see and reject.

brigpilgrim.....L.A. times nov. 7 or8 I was just passing on a little bit of info....for some of the people who say conway drivers have no backbone, how about the union drivers who have no backbone.....you folks constantly let the union bosses rip you folks off of your hard earned money....have any of them taken any paycuts as yrc have taken, I think not... and if you had read my previous post you would find out that I,m not against the union but its going to have to beup to the younger generation to chose what they want.........

Question. Why should they take a paycut? They represent many more than just the Teamsters of YRC.

Union dues are two hours pay equivalent. I don't feel ripped off. But I don't spend a lot of time worrying about what other people make.

If we fired all the Union leaders and put in a bunch of minimum wage fry cooks, Yellow would still be having problems. Look at the money Yellow's management was getting paid to put the company into debt at the same time the economy is shrinking.

You say the Union drivers had no backbone because they didn't vote the way you think they should. I think it takes a lot of backbone to make a decision that effects their family and their life. I respect them, which ever way they vote. It is not my decision, I don't work there.

Wow, looks like this post finally just died. I guess most of us get tired of arguing with a brick wall when you finally realize the block wall has no ability to change.
