AS long as you're counting, I hope you like my 7th post too
"CONWAY took a beating"- I'd love to kick them too, but I am not going to- that is called sarcasm.
- Now YOU know YOU won't really be shoving the post up my wise ***, because if you do you will tick off the senior drivers who wanted to shove it up my ***, and they will file a grievance(I don't think I spelled that right, but I'm sure it's second nature for you) and then nothing will get done.
TO MY POINT - I really don't think Fedex wants YRC out to be able to cut wages. That is probably the last thing on their mind. THE REASON IS-- as soon as they would start cutting wages, there would be a major UPROAR from employees and then there may be some serious talk about trying to organize(making it a much bigger pain in the rear, to make a profit). THAT IS THE LAST THING IN THE WORLD FEDEX WOULD WANT!!! We have enough cash in the bank where wage cuts are not needed, it could happen, I doubt it very much, but nobody is safe in these economic times(and if you want to debate OBAMA's stimulus "garbage" I will do that too). THE KEY TO A PROFITABLE COMPANY, IS HAPPY EMPLOYEES. You cut wages, and guys start wearing out their shoes dragging their feet, and now they are making the difference up at time and a half-VERY UNPROFITABLE.
Besides we don't really want you out of business- We just want your "GOOD" freight you can keep the "crap"
How can you say "we need to join the union to save our wages", when you guys can't save yours? --That is like the Detroit Lions telling the Pittsburgh Steelers "if you don't play like we do, you will never win a Super Bowl."
