BHO has admitted he knows raising taxes will decrease revenue. Its all about fairness. If those of inferior effort and brains see "the rich getting screwed" they feel better. Social security was going broke not because it is part of the General Fund, but because less and less people pay into it for each one taking out. It's a Ponzi Scheme. It's been a part of the General Fund since 1969 if I'm correct. That's about the time of the last truly balanced budget.

Also, until Carter every budget started at zero and each item had to be justified . Carter established Base Line Budgeting, where each year every program gets an increase. A Cut in that increase is now called a cut, even tho the program still gets more...

It helps when your the Governor of a state that issues $1200 to each person that resides there in a share of the Oil taxes. Some of you folks would say that Alaska is acting like a socialist goverment charging those poor oil companys a royalty for extracting the states wealth. But those who live in Alaska kind of enjoy receiving those payments.
Lets see how many in the Palin family is it 6, I think so 6X1200= $7200 they recieved last year. Heck they could fly the family for a Disney vacation in Sunny Orlando, Fl. some cold winter week.

I'll move to Alaska just for that money! I'll need for my heat bill!
