Default Pelosi's new energy plan

Pelosi’s Energy Bill is a Sham » The Foundry

Quote:
The House introduced new energy legislation late last night. Finally…right? The House also wants to bring the 290-page bill, which can be found here, to the floor today. You think the 435 Members in the House of Representatives are going to meticulously read all 290 pages? A bill that makes fundamental changes to thousands of pages of earlier energy bills as well as the tax code. Please.

Permanently ban access to 97% of the 10.5 billion barrels off the California coast. Then, California gets to decide whether to produce just 3% of its resources.

• Continue the ban on the Eastern Gulf of Mexico, an area with an estimated 3.65 barrels of oil and 22 trillion cubic feet of natural gas

• Institute a first-ever 50 mile ban off the coast of Alaska.

if you open the chart, most of the oil is within 25 miles of shore, which, this great bill would make off limits.

You would get more energy from this plan by burning the 290 pages it was written on. this is an attempt to say to the American people "look we tried but the Reps voted against." Yes, voted against a bill not worth the paper it is printed on. After all, she needs to keep the price of oil high, she personally has money invested in the T. Boone plan.

Bubba the plan is a election year hoax , a hoax brought on by pressure from the citizenry.

If you look back at speech's and interviews Nancy has gave she clearly has stated she had no intention to have a Comprehensive Energy legislation up for vote , she rallied against any program including off shore drilling , did not included any Nuke plants and this bill reflects that attitude. In a interview with Larry King earlier this year she was so far out of touch she miss quoted prices at the pumps and had to be corrected by Larry.

You see when you are one of the Richest persons in congress Energy costs are chump change and does not really effect if you will pay for groceries or pay at the pump to make it to work for another week , this from the party that is supposed to be for the little guy , the working class , no this is just more pandering so they can say hey look everyone we tried but it did not get passed , but look deeper into it and you can see it is more favored to environmentalist lobbyists and less for what the working public has been demanding.

Solution would be to utilize all means to bridge the gap until new sources for energy comes VIABLY on line , while reducing the dependency on foreign sources. NO its just plain election year Pandering!!

Dems pass offshore energy bill - Patrick O'Connor - Politico.com

Quote:
Desperate to maintain party unity on a key campaign issue this fall, House Republican Leader John A. Boehner delivered a simple message to members of his caucus on Tuesday morning: Stick together.

For the most part, they did.

The House approved a comprehensive energy package by a vote of 236 to 189 Tuesday night. The bill would allow states to permit oil and gas drilling 50 miles off the coast, but Democrats failed to attract significant support for the measure – even though Republicans have made expanded domestic energy production their mantra on the campaign trail this fall.
85% of the oil lies within 50 miles of the coast. The deeper the water, the more expensive to get. This is another lie the Dems are trying to get by the American people: "look we did something."
