Default Astroturfing

Christians Concerned over McCain/Palin or Astroturfing for Obama? | blogs4God

Quote:
America Is Suddenly Bursting With Concerned Christian Conservatives Expressing Conservatively Christian Concern over McCain/Palin … or so writes sarcastically the author ovr at the Ace of Spaced HQ blog … not what I’d normally point out as a blogs4God link due to the adult language used there … but because they appear to have spotted a trend where some are posing as “Concerned Christians” as part of an “Astroturfing Campain” … which said blog defines as:

… Astroturfing is the dishonest PR technique of inserting PR messages straight from the PR shop out into the public, but in the guise of “concerns” of “real citizens” who are “independent” and have “no relationship” whatsoever to the PR campaign.
Has the Obama Campaign Been Astroturfing? | The Sundries Shack

Quote:
Ace is promoting a news story that should be coming out later this evening about Barack Obama’s top campaign honcho David Axelrod. The story apparently will carry some substantiated allegations tht Axelrod has been violating electioneering laws thanks to a thing called “astroturfing”.

Essentially, the story seems to be that Alexrod has a history, not only with Barack Obama’s campaign, but other Democratic campaigns, of being a whole lot close to several ads that were made and released by supposedly unaffiliated people or groups. Also, Axelrod seems to have done the same thing on the behalf of some corporations that normally would be bogeymen to the left.

Some of the background of the story is here. The upshot of the whole thing is that Axelrod working for the Obama campaign, has been doing some dirty and possibly even illegal advertising work.

So much for a new politic in American. BHO is no different than any other politican.
