Larry it will come down to the electoral collage , and just as in the primaries Obama will win most likely , we can still vote the way we hope it will turn out and HOPE for the best.

He gets opening after opening after opening, and doesn't have a clue how to win! Then Palin goes out and gets Repubs to like the ticket, and he opens up about appointing Dems to be on his team (from Holy Joe for VP to now algore to run his Environmental programs)
I'm afraid you're right, Larry.

I'm afraid you're right, Larry. | I've sent emails to the McCain campaign telling them that if they would take a hard line, the Tancredo position, on illegal immigration, that they would lock this thing up. But, of course, they know better than some moron like me, so they will pay the ultimate price. But with the economy finally tanking, like any intelligent person saw that it was going to do for some time now, every other issue from Iraq to illegal immigration is essentially irrelevant. You can talk about Ayres or the preacher or whatever, it won't matter. The economy has left everyone numb and pissed, and McCain looks too much like Bush in these regards, so the alternative is Obama. I won't vote for either one.

(I won't vote for either one.) | So that is some sort of "martyrdom" that you would simply throw your vote away? I absolutely agree that McCain is likely "same old, same old". But the agenda I see with Osama Obama is tinged with PINK---if not downright RED!! I will say it: IMHO, Obama is DANGEROUS!!!!!!!! He is a raving Socialist that believes in centralized government, trading individual freedom for security that = CONTROL. Huge taxes will NOT stimulate an economy; they will STIFLE it. GOVERNMENT does NOT create jobs; PRIVATE industry with private capital DOES. When people have control of their own money, they cause a demand for goods and services. Industry then responds to that demand and, to a point, the results feed on themselves and keep the economy rolling along. There have always been slowdowns--often caused when the public perceives they are about to be affected by something---even a hurricane----they stop spending. Industry responds by laying off, reducing output and inventory.
The socialist/communist believes that YOU must be 'taken care of' and the answer is centralized government, centralized health care, restrictions on personal freedoms (like prevent Talk Radio from hosting such things as Rush Limbaugh). Speaking of which, WHY are they so AFRAID of conservative ideas? If the conservative philosophy is BAD, then their socialist ideals would prevail ANYWAY. IOW, the conservative ideas would prove to be false and there would be NO need to stifle ANY ideas. But their failed, commie ideals have been proven to fail time after time after time, but each generation of leftists spring up with self-indulged importance ("WE are the generation that can make this work") and the whole socialist mantra is a FARCE and a FAILURE. Folks, there IS no "utopia", there is NO "something for nothing". Socialism also stifles production. It is the industrious individual that succeeds that causes an economy to percolate, it is the INCENTIVE to reward that makes one strive.
I've said it plenty of times: I am not exactly jumping for joy over John McCain.
IF Osama Obama/Biden get in, we will get EXACTLY what we asked for; a DISASTER. McCain is the LESSER of two evils. If Obama was merely a moderate Democrat, I could tolerate it and wait him out for better days. But this man is DANGEROUS with a philosophy more injurious to the United States than anyone in our history! The Muslims overseas that HATE us will be jumping for joy over this and waiting to slip into the US and bomb targets---maybe nuclear?
Please, in this important election, I will say it to anyone: DON'T THROW YOUR VOTE AWAY! You may not like McCain, but the alternative is almost unthinkable!!!!!!!
