I don't know what the wide arrray of offenses were that I listed -- your comment baffles me. But yes, I find it offensive when one group of people use the government to enable themsleves to suck up all the wealth that american workers create -- denying the people who actually created teh wealth from shareing in it. That is deeply offensive and unchristian too.

Your above quote seems to sum it all up for me. As John Edwards said "There are two Americas".
|
John Edwards is not on the ticket. However, if you don't think there are two americas -- one group of americans that owns wealth and uses their wealth to make money and one group of americans who own no wealth and uses their backs to make money -- you are delusional.

In my America, the Founders looked to God's granting us Freedom to try to serve Him as we can thru our freedom of choices and abilities.

Do you think you had the same freedom of choices as George Bush had? I'm assuming that if you drive truck for a living you didn't.

I see America as the Ultimate Opportunity for everyone to "make it big"; even as far as a kid like Ike from Abilene Ks becoming a great leader and eventually Prez.

How bout a kid from kansas raised on food stamps? Barrack Obama? God Bless America. Ike was to the left of both Hillary Clinton and Barrak Obama and sounded a lot like Edwards. Read Ike's Republican Platform from his election. You will be shocked. It is pro-union, pro-minimum wage, and very liberal by todays republican AND democratic standards.

To me, you come across as a guy that blames America for all the ills of Society,

Your comment makes no sense. Are you saying, I blame America for all the ills of American society. this makes no sense.

and that only by punishing others, siezing their wealth,

Watch the DVD Harlan County USA. Or any other documentary of the struggles of working people in America (prior to Eisnehower's pro union, pro worker administration). That my friend is punishing others and siezing their wealth. You have a delusional world view. When corps lower workers wages, turn their lives into living hell, move their manufacturing from OH to China, that my friend is siezing wealth and oppurtunity form other people and running with it accrossed the border as fast as you can.

Impossible rules of competition? Hello? What do you think the monopolistic policies of the Repubilcan/Libertarian/Conservatives are. They want to make competition impossible - period.

Yeah, I want a fair tax code. That makes me petty jealous? Come on. You appear to be a religious person, read the gospel of john, the book of james, mathew 25. Is that marxist?
I have no idea what this has to do with anything.

John Edwards: "There are two Americas". Wow. I didn't think I'd ever agree with him on anything; but on this one his quote is correct". It's his premise that's wrong.....

i would say, Marx's premise (his discription of the situation)was correct, his solution was wrong. But again, what marx has to do with anything in 2008 is a mind twister.
