I'm still surprised at how working people support the republicans. If you're in a Union, I'm even more surprised since the republicans hate unions because it interferes with companies profit margin and doing what they want whenever they want to whoever they want. To them, offshore jobs are great because it saves companies money. Not having to deal with environmental laws and ethics saves them money and headaches.

I'm thinking that it's the tough guy, by your own bootstraps, grab your guns and bible and protect yourself from the hordes of criminals roaming every street fear mentality that makes you feel safe. I just don't get it.

We're seeing the results of the "you're on your own" type of thinking. It's easy to blame the witless people that signed onto loans that they couldn't afford to pay back, but if those loans weren't out there in the first place.....

Where we are right now is corporate greed allowed to run unchecked. That's what the bush/cheney/McCain type of republican has done for America. I know it's all Clinton's fault for not racking up a huge deficit, and that really, really sticks in the right's craw, but I'm still amazed how you guys can just shine on the last 7 1/2 years as being good for the country.

And you want more of the same! Unbelievable. You use "facts" that Obama is a Muslim and a terrorist. You say he hates the country because of 20 minutes of clips taken from a fiery minister who has lived the black experience and has a view of this country you as whites can never have. Was it over the top to our white experience? Sure. Was it over the top for blacks who have not had the same American experience? Probably not. Continued racism and inequality will only hardened those views, and the obvious racism from the working right towards Obama shows how scared the right is of him and his ideas. It's easier to tear down a man with made up "facts" than it is to give him a chance.

Where is this man hating bill Biden created to punish men for yelling at their wives/women? I haven't seen it linked here, nor published verbatim. If that is why you won't vote for a person over one item, you probably should just stay away from the polls and let the adults lead you around. There must be 1,000,000,000 reasons not to vote for McBush/Palin.

I watched the debate. It was little more than a McCain speech from Palin's lips. She offered NOTHING in the way of how they will be different than bush. She quoted Regan several times, and trotted out the same tired sound bites. I caught the winks and the "gosh darns", and whole, "I'm just like you" BS from Palin. I don't want someone just like me in charge. Besides, she and her husband are worth over 1.2 million dollars, which makes her very unlike me and everyone I know.

If you want four more years of bush, vote McCain/Palin. If you are tired of watching your country torn apart and handed to special interest and corporate America, vote Obama/Biden.

It's as simple as that.

But how working people can support a party that works to undermine them at every turn is beyond me.

The debate last night went great for Sarah Palin. I would say Biden did a good job at holding back his temper and doing what he was told, which was to attack McCain and not Palin. He would have been better off to debate Palin rather than attack McCain on every question. I did catch him in a few flat out lies. I think he would have looked a bit better if he stuck with his political beliefs instead of changing them to support Obama.
