I absolutely agree. Both sides of the isle failed us. The left for not standing up and fighting the bad legistaltion of the right, and the right for passing legislation giving too much self-regulation to the free-market.

My previous point was that everything bad happening in our economy can't be attibuted to the last 2 years...

I live in Florida and my wife and I already voted absentee ballot including voting marriage is a man and a woman.

Obama has a tax plan that is nothing mor than tax welfare.

    From CNS News

The heart of Obama’s tax cut proposal is in his use of refundable tax credits, which the Center describes as “credits available to eligible households even if they have no income tax liability” -- in short, refunds available even to those who don’t pay taxes. These refunds are claimed on tax returns and are paid to all taxpayers who qualify for them, regardless of whether they owe taxes or not. These refunds have the ability of reducing a taxpayer’s liability below zero, meaning they can get a refund without actually paying taxes.

In real numbers, 60.7 million people who have no tax burden at all will receive refunds from Obama, while only 33.8 million people, who pay approximately 40 percent of income taxes, will get any kind of refund. Twenty percent of taxpayers, who pay 87.5 percent of total income taxes, will actually see after-tax income decline under Obama by nearly two percent, according to the Center.

By using these refunds, Obama is able to claim that he is giving a tax cut to 95 percent of households, although only 62 percent of households pay any income taxes at all. This means that Obama’s tax plan calls for giving money to some households that do not pay taxes, including a plan to make community college “essentially free” and pay 10 percent of the interest on all mortgages.

The problem with Obama’s characterization that his proposals are tax cuts is that refundable credits are calculated as outlays, or direct spending, not as reductions in tax rates, according to the Center. This means that, in budgetary terms, some of Obama’s tax cuts are actually spending increases.

The Tax Policy Center estimates that Obama’s spending proposals will be so large that they effectively eliminate income taxes for 15 million households, increasing the percentage of households that pay no taxes from 37.8 percent to 48.1 percent.

And, by the way, how much were you paying for fuel when a Democrat was President?

Are you better off now than you were a year ago? Four years ago? Eight years ago?

And, if you're going to base your choice of elected officials on his/her/your religion, you should move to a theocracy like Saudi Arabia or Iran. That way, you and the ruling parties will all be of the same "faith", and you won't have to bother with those pesky elections.
LOL... ANARCHIST LIBERTARIAN!!! and proud of it! Are we better off with either a Republican or a Democrat? ... that is the question. The answer would be a resounding NO! Both parties have mucked this country up for 100 years.

There are 545 people that run this country, make the decisions... no one else. If we have an out of control tax bill of 70,000 pages it is because the WANT IT that way. If they have a system that provides them automated pay raises every year it's because they WANT IT that way. If they are allowed to accept money and gifts from corporations and lobbyists, it's because they WANT IT that way.

Y'all who call yourselves Republicans and Democrats DON'T GET IT! Both parties are spending your money, their elected members are getting wealthy (along with their corporate sponsors), American citizens are losing their constitutional rights, ALL UNDER THE TWO PARTY SYSTEM RUN BY DEMOCRATS AND REPUBLICANS.

A Republican President just Socialized the American Banking System... something Democrats have wanted to do for decades. And then Democrats blame Republicans for this economy when it was caused initially by Democrats and their desire for deregulation under Jiminy Carter, and continued under Ronnie Raygun, Bush, Clinton and Bush. Of the past 8 years, 6 of those years Congress was controlled by Democrats! Democrats (Dodd and Frank) BLOCKED attempts to regulate the financial industry in 2003 and 2005. Greenspan warned the Democrats and Congress of dire consequences if the industry was NOT reigned in in a speech in 2005. All this while Frank (a Democrat) had a gay relationship with one of the execs from Fannie Mae who heavily contributed MONEY to his election campaign chest.

If you want change... throw out the 545 people running this mess... and start over. Screw Republicans and Democrats. YOU ARE THE PROBLEM!

    THE FAIRTAX PLAN
...and if you truly want change... support the 73 members (yes, there are some out there who ARE good, both Democrat and Republican) of Congress who do GET IT, and who support the FAIRTAX PLAN, which eliminates the IRS, the tax code, and all Federal taxes. No more income tax, no more IRS, no more Federal taxes. And read the (2) books before attempting to argue against the FairTax Plan, otherwise you will come across as an idiot. Case in point... the FairTax will NOT raise taxes or costs of goods one single dollar... contrary to the lies being spread by the Democratic National Party as a scare tactic. What you are not told will happen under the FairTax is your paycheck will increase by some 23-28% every check because you no longer have all that money deducted. Who is stupid enough to state they don't want a pay raise of over 20%? lol Again... don't attempt to argue this here or ask questions... read the books and know what you are talking about. They will answer your questions.
