I'm new to the forum and arrived here because I'm considering getting into trucking as a career change. I haven't decided, so I hope to gather pertinent information see where it takes me.

Anyway, I propose we're all liberal and conservative based on the definitions below and only differ in the percentage of weight we put on each definition. Does that make us all somewhat mental?

Liberalism:
▸ noun: an economic theory advocating free competition and a self-regulating market and the gold standard
▸ noun: a political orientation that favors progress and reform

Conservatism:
▸ noun: a political or theological orientation advocating the preservation of the best in society and opposing radical changes

we shouldn't have to censor you.... censor yourself

Split the military? Where do you suppose most would choose to go if that was the case east or west of the River? And who would you think they would rather serve those that detest calling them baby killers and murderers or those that embrace them?

And what would happen in California , Oregon , and Washington to all the coffee shop lib's?

Well I screwed the pooch on this one. I misread the question and voted wrong. I wish you wouldn't have closed that last poll. There was someone there that was going to explain why we were attacked on 9-11. I think he was implying that it was our fault. I really wanted to hear that one.

Are you better off now than you were a year ago? Four years ago? Eight years ago?

And, if you're going to base your choice of elected officials on his/her/your religion, you should move to a theocracy like Saudi Arabia or Iran. That way, you and the ruling parties will all be of the same "faith", and you won't have to bother with those pesky elections.
